Launching Seminary Education
Church at The Mill’s School of Ministry empowers future leaders for local church service by jumpstarting their seminary education.
Located in Spartanburg, SC, residents of the School of Ministry can earn credits for any of the Baptist Theological Seminaries across the US, including Gateway Seminary of the Southern Baptist Convention, Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Led by Dr. D.J. Horton and his senior team of pastors at Church at the Mill, the program offers an immersive experience covering evangelism, preaching, worship, missions, counseling, and more. Residents study within the church and participate in staff meetings, gaining practical insights into leadership challenges.
Residents devote 22-24 hours weekly to ministry work and receive 6-8 hours of mentoring and group study in pastoral leadership, worship, and more. In collaboration with seminaries nationwide, residents can earn up to 21 transfer credit hours toward their seminary education.
