A Father’s Redemption
Dusty had always felt like he was carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders.
He had grown up without any real religious beliefs, and as he got older, he became more and more agnostic, if not an outright atheist. But all that changed when his co-worker Melanie shared the Gospel with him and invited him and his family to church.
“After a few months of coming to worship, I responded to the Gospel and was baptized,” Dusty recalled. “It was like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders.”
For Dusty, the decision to be baptized was a profound one. It was a public declaration of his faith and his commitment to follow Christ. And his first act as a baptized believer was to baptize his own son, passing on his newfound faith to the next generation.
