SCGo Camp Logistics

DETAILS AND LOGISTICS

Lodging – Each Church will secure their own lodging either through hotels, AirBnBs, or other connections.   We will provide the location (i.e. “Base Church”).  Student Ministers should find accommodations as close as possible to this location.

Food – The Church must plan and provide for most of their meals.  Space will be made at the Base Church for churches that may need to store and prepare lunches on location.  Ideally, most meals can be prepared and eaten at their place of lodging.   (SCGo Camp will provide lunch on Monday and Dinner on Wednesday)

Transportation –  Each Church must provide enough transportation for their entire group throughout the week.  It is possible that during mission deployment, students from other churches will ride in another church’s vehicle.   All drivers must be licensed and over the age of 25.  All vehicles must provide proof of insurance in advance.

Adult Leaders – All Adult leaders on the trip must be professing believers and preferably mature in their faith with the ability to lead students to inform, serve and/or proclaim.  All adults will go through a background check with the SCBC.   No adult leader will be allowed to be alone with a student at any time for any reason.

Camp Staff –  A small staff of young adults and the SCBC Send Team will staff the event.  They will train, teach, inform, and run logistics for mission operations.  In order for things to run smoothly, they will need the full participation and assistance of the Adult leaders of each church.   Staffers will primarily be Palmetto Collective Students.
