Certified Sending Partners
Certified Sending Partners (CSP) are experienced leaders from SCBaptist churches who open their mission trips to students from other churches. These leaders provide opportunities for students whose home churches may lack the resources to organize mission trips. CSPs help meet the significant need to ensure that every student in South Carolina has the chance to participate in missions, regardless of their church’s capacity.
Requirements for a CSP:
- Leader in a SCBaptist church
- Completed safe and secure training for child safety
- Completed and cleared background check
- Previous experience leading a short-term mission trip
- Evaluated by SCBaptist Send Team
We are looking for Kingdom minded Student Ministry leaders with experience in leading short term mission trips that would be willing to leave “spots” open for students outside of their church body. They would be willing to train them, keep them safe and treat them as one of the team.
Applications and Recommendation forms are sent directly to the CSP when a student applies. It is completely up to the CSP for acceptance into the trip. After interviewing the student and the parent, the CSP has complete authority to accept or deny the student for any reason they deem sufficient.
All Students and Parents should be made aware of the risks and responsibilities of attending the trip. Trip Insurance is mandatory for any student going as a connection made through SC GO Student Network.
Financial assistance is available to the CSP should they accept and receive at-large students onto their teams. Please contact Charlie Swain with the SCBC for details.
