Rainfall from the remnants of Hurricane Beryl caused significant flooding in Vermont last week. SC is asked to send help to Barre, the same town where we served after flooding a year ago. To have another flood while still recovering from last year’s flood has been devastating to the residents of Vermont.

To help in this additional response, two of the mud-out units that were scheduled to go to Iowa will be sent to Vermont instead. The DR Director for the Baptist Churches of New England has requested the following for immediate deployment:

• A team of 4 assessors and 2 chaplains
• A Shower/Laundry unit
• A Laundry unit
• Volunteers to serve in the shower & laundry units for a week at a time
