Standby – Hurricane Francine

All Recovery units, assessors, and chaplains are placed on Standby for response to Hurricane Francine in Louisiana. You are needed – prepare to go.

Recovery sites for both chainsaw and mud-out work are being established in hard-hit Morgan City and Houma, Louisiana. Assessors and chaplains should accompany the recovery units and may also be deployed in small teams together.

Unit Leaders, please check with your volunteers and contact the state DR office with your team’s available dates. You will be assigned to a site when you provide your dates.

Volunteers, please check in with Unit Leaders of the units with which you normally serve, to inform them of your availability. Volunteers needing help getting connected with a unit may contact the state DR office at this email address: disasterrelief@scbaptist.org.

Volunteers in shower/laundry and feeding may be needed when Louisiana and neighboring states have used all their own volunteers. Updates on needs will be provided on our website and Facebook pages.
