Disaster Relief volunteers are encouraged to make personal preparations to secure their homes and property as Tropical Storm Elsa approaches. Being prepared personally means that you will be in a better position to help others if damage occurs in your area. DR leaders are asked to check and secure DR units.

Forecasts do not lead us to expect widespread damage in South Carolina, but there may be areas of localized flooding or wind damage. As always, DR units are urged to respond as you see needs in your area, and notify the SCBC DR office when you can. If local damage is more than your unit alone can deal with, contact the DR office to request that additional units be deployed to assist.
