Meet GenSend LA Summer Missionaries
Get ready to meet an inspiring group of college students who have embarked on a life-changing journey as participants of GenSend LA.
Hailing from South Carolina, these seven young ambassadors have stepped out of their comfort zones to spend the summer with GenSend where they will have an immersive exploration of what it means to live intentionally in community while sharing the Gospel in a new city.
Meet Caroline!
Caroline Baker is a junior from Georgetown, SC. She is a Computer Science major at Clemson University.
“I’m excited about LA this summer because I’m looking forward to the opportunity of sharing the Gospel with those I encounter,” she said. Caroline also says she’s excited about the adventure of being in a new place. “I am trusting in God’s plan and I’m excited to see where He leads,” she said.
Meet Nick!
Nick Ritentour is based in Charleston, SC.
Ever since he was saved at the age of 8, Nick has asked the question “How can I glorify God with my life?” Nick says he uses the gifts and talents that God has given him to serve and work in the church, to glorify God, and to expand His Kingdom.
“I’m excited for this summer because God has drawn me closer to Him as I’ve learned what it means to truly surrender and live on mission,” Nick said.
Meet Rachel!
Rachel Rickenbaker is from Travelers Rest, SC. She is entering her senior year at Charleston Southern University to finish her degree in Pre-Law and Legal Studies.
“I am super excited to see how the Lord is going to work in and through our team this summer to make His glory known,” Rachel said.
Meet Cayman!
Cayman Hutchinson is from Summerville, SC. He is a junior at the University of South Carolina where he is pursuing a Mass Communications Major.
“I am excited to be a part of GenSend LA this summer and I can’t wait to see what God has in store for our team,” Cayman said.
Meet Aiden!
Aiden Ratcliffe is from Columbia, SC. He is a Human Development and Family Studies major at Anderson University.
“I am excited to see what God has in store for not just me, but everyone who is involved in this summer’s missions in LA with GenSend,” Aiden said. “It is truly a blessing to have this opportunity!”
Meet Traikon!
Traikon Johnson is from Aiken, SC. He is a sophomore at Charleston Southern University majoring in Global Marketplace Engagement.
“I am excited for LA because I will have the opportunity to grow in my faith and share the Good News of Jesus Christ with an area in desperate need of the Gospel,” Traikon said.
