Every day we hear of children or teens who are hurting. They are in our homes, schools, Good News Clubs, Sunday Schools, and Youth Groups. We often recognize them by their behavior. The tendency can be to ask ourselves, “What is wrong with him/her?” instead of “What happened to him/her?” We often don’t know how to best respond.
Join us to learn more:
What is trauma?
How does it affect a child (or adult)?
How can we sensitively connect with children from hard backgrounds?
How can we identify challenging behaviors and promote healing instead of harm?
