Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Accounting Manager. This role is crucial in ensuring the financial integrity of SCBaptists, enabling our mission to thrive and support ministry across the state and around the world. This position involves handling accounting functions, maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring that financial practices comply with both internal policies and external regulations. Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or nonprofit financial management
- Strong understanding of nonprofit accounting standards (GAAP)
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines in a dynamic environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A personal faith in Jesus Christ and alignment with the doctrinal beliefs of the South Carolina Baptist Convention
- Commitment to the mission and values of the South Carolina Baptist Convention
- An active member of a local Southern Baptist Church in friendly cooperation with the South Carolina Baptist Convention
