Certified Sending Partners

Certified Sending Partners (CSP) are leaders from SCBC churches who invite other students from other churches to accompany them on their mission trip.  Since many churches in South Carolina are small, there is a tremendous need to know where to confidently direct students whose church does not have opportunities for them to go on mission.

Requirements for CSP’s:

  • Leader in a SCBC affiliated church
  • Completed Safe and Secure training for child safety
  • Has a completed and clear background check
  • Has previous experience leading a short term mission trip
  • Evaluated by the SCBC Send Team

We are looking for Kingdom minded Student Ministry leaders with experience in leading short term mission trips that would be willing to leave “spots” open for students outside of their church body.   They would be willing to train them, keep them safe and treat them as one of the team.

Applications and Recommendation forms are sent directly to the CSP when a student applies.  It is completely up to the CSP for acceptance into the trip.   After interviewing the student and the parent, the CSP has complete authority to accept or deny the student for any reason they deem sufficient.

All Students and Parents should be made aware of the risks and responsibilities of attending the trip.  Trip Insurance is mandatory for any student going as a connection made through SC GO Student Network.

Financial assistance is available to the CSP should they accept and receive at-large students onto their teams.   Please contact Charlie Swain with the SCBC for details.
