The South Carolina Baptist Convention recently welcomed two new members to the Church Planting Team. Led by Team Leader Cliff Marshall, Darryl Gaddy and Josh Bradley have both joined as Church Planting Strategists to assist Church Planters throughout the state, utilizing their years of experience.

Darryl Gaddy served as a church planter in Detroit, Michigan and planted Victory Fellowship Community Church in 2006. While in Detroit, Gaddy was commissioned as a Church Planting Catalyst with the North American Mission Board and served in the SEND Detroit focus city church planting initiative. After serving faithfully in Michigan, Gaddy moved to South Carolina to serve with the Santee Baptist Association as a Church Planting and Church Growth Specialist. In all of these opportunities, Darryl Gaddy was able to implement community initiatives and projects to further share the hope of the Gospel. Darryl and Daphne Gaddy have three children, Shante, Chelsea and Darryl, Jr., and four grandchildren, Kyla, Jaden, Charlotte and Greyson.

“Darryl brings a world of experience and knowledge to the Start Team that we need if we are going to be serious about saturating every life in South Carolina with the hope of the Gospel. I am excited that God has led him here to help start and restart churches,” said Cliff Marshall.

Also joining the team is Josh Bradley, a Greenville, South Carolina native. He has previously worked for the SCBC in a part-time capacity, but is now transitioning to a full-time position. Bradley began his journey in ministry as the High School Pastor at Brookwood Church in Simpsonville. After years of service in this role, he planted Element Church in Woodruff in 2010. This endeavor gives Josh a unique perspective on what it means to plant a church in South Carolina. He then joined the SCBC team and has worked closely with Church Planters in every stage of the process throughout the state. He and his wife, Renae, have four children, Dawson, DJ, Carson and Huntley Grace.

Cliff Marshall stated, “The work Josh has already done in a part time role has had a tremendous impact on the lives of church planters across our state. I am thankful that he will now be serving on the Start Team in a full-time capacity.”
