The South Carolina Baptist Ministry Assistants Association (SCBMAA) held their Annual Meeting on May 5th, 2023. The event was filled with fellowship, worship, and education as members gathered to strengthen their skills and knowledge to serve their local churches.

The theme of the conference was “Beautiful Messes,” and keynote speakers emphasized the truths from 2 Corinthians 12:19, which says, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” The event kicked off with an opening message from Lynn Cowell of Proverbs 31 Ministries.

In addition to keynote speakers, the conference offered a variety of breakout sessions on topics ranging from effective communication to financial management. Attendees were able to choose the sessions that best fit their needs and interests.

The SCBMAA is dedicated to supporting and equipping ministry assistants in Baptist churches throughout South Carolina. The annual meeting is a key event in the organization’s calendar and provides a valuable opportunity for ministry assistants to not only learn from each other and grow in their roles but also be encouraged and uplifted.
