As a means of helping churches Advance through mission sending to the nations, the South Carolina Baptist Convention has established a fund to assist SCBC churches in the catalytic sending of mission leaders to serve with Qualified Great Commission Partners.   

Criteria for Grant 

• Grants will be given to SCBC churches to assist with expenses of leaders to participate in mission projects with Qualified Great Commission Partners.  Qualified Great Commission Partners will be mission organizations/entities that have a direct connection to a South Carolina Baptist Convention church or association and affirms and agrees to operate within the parameters of the Baptist Faith and Message 2000. 
• Priority will be given to churches/ leaders who have not previously been engaged in international mission projects or with a specific international mission partner previously.  The purpose for the grant is to catalyze a church’s involvement in international missions, not to be a source of ongoing support. 

• Request for grants will be made to the Send Team of the South Carolina Baptist Convention.  Approved grant money will be sent directly to the requesting church, not to the mission organization.
